Design and Display
Samsung Galaxy S8 plus features a gorgeous glass and metal design. The entire front is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. So is the back. One of the biggest design shift is that the home button has been removed. The home button is embedded under the screen, where it stays hidden until you need it.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 plus comes with the 6.2-inch screen size sounds huge, especially since the majority of larger handsets stick to screen sizes between 5.5 and 5.7 inches. The last flagship phone I can remember to sport a 6-inch display was the Motorola-built Nexus 6 – and that was a nightmare to use. But it’s a different story here. This is a big-screened phone that feels great, and credit has to be given to Samsung for crafting a phone that feels this good.
Bear in mind that the Galaxy S8 Plus is heavier at 173g compared to 155g, even though that’s an impressive weight for a phone with a 6.2in screen. The 6.4in Xperia Z Ultra is 212g.
Carrying an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Based on test conditions of submersion in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.
You can get stuck in the rain without an umbrella and still find your way home. And you won’t lose your cooled when you spill water all over your phone. Because the Galaxy S8 and S8+ feature the same IP68-rated water and dust resistance you’ve come to expect from Galaxy phones.
The Galaxy S8 plus camera – which appears to be the same as that in the smaller (Glaxaxy S8), features a 12 mega-pixel rear camera and 8 mega-pixel front camera which I would say was unexpected.
Bixby Vision is for more than just shopping, though. Thanks to a partnership with Vivino, Bixby can identify bottles of wine then display ratings and reviews for what you’re about to crack open. That’s the part of Bixby Vision that worked the most consistently. Although it does seem to think most bottle-shaped things are bottles of wine, so you’ll probably see the Wine option appear at inappropriate times. You can als use Bixby to search for images on Pinterest similar to ones you’ve already taken. It’s a neat touch and good for finding art you might like, but it’s not the most useful feature.

Battery and charging
Samsung Galaxy S8 plus is powered by a 3500mAh Battery, and you Simply place your Galaxy S8 or S8+ on the wireless charger to begin powering up. This convertible charger functions as both a pad and a stand, so you can position the Galaxy S8 or S8+ horizontally or vertically and keep on going as it charge.
It also features a Rear Fingerprint sensor next to the camera, which is used for various purpose such security, snap shot, browsing through pictures e.t.c
