IT Roles Will Be in Demand

Information Technology is one of the most rapidly growing aspects of modern business; with better business communication being supported through technology, we are entering a time where business without IT is almost unimaginable. With all this said, there is still a deficit of talent within many businesses, and so it seems that 2022 will be the year of extreme IT roles will be in demand.

We spoke to TechQuarters, an IT Support Provider with over 10 years’ experience providing IT Support Services in London. They said that with IT being so critical for businesses these days, recruiting IT talent is a way for businesses to get ahead in their sector – not investing in their IT stack could result in them falling behind their competitors. So, what IT roles will be in demand this year?

Solutions Architect

One of the key ways in which we have seen technology take over in business is with the trend of digital transformation. Businesses have been working to overhaul the traditional business processing in favour of new tech-driven solutions that make the day-to-day running of their organisation more efficient, and which also make their infrastructure more future-proof. But digital transformations cannot be rushed into, and careful planning and assessment needs to take place to see precisely how IT can support the specific business.

This is where Solutions Architects come in. They are not just pure IT specialists, but rather a bridge between business operations and the IT – helping develop a clear strategy for IT that will benefit the entire organisation.

Cloud Architect

The Cloud is a highly pervasive technology these days. It powers social media, enables you to backup all of your photos and important files from your phone, and access them from any device and at any location with internet connection. It has a diverse range of uses within business, but namely through hosting an organisation’s server infrastructure thanks to virtualisation technology. Many businesses have been following this model of migrating their servers and IT infrastructure to the Cloud; it is a process which opens businesses up to a lot of sophisticated security solutions, such as streamlined Backup and Disaster Recovery services, Cloud-based Firewalls, Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM), and much more.

A business’ Cloud computing strategy must be managed and planned by a Cloud Architect, who will have a deep knowledge of the technology and will be able to design and build a Cloud environment tailored to the organisation. Most Cloud Architects will have experience with specific platforms – for example, TechQuarters, as an IT managed services provider, has Cloud Architects that specialise in Microsoft Azure.

Data Scientists

Another one of the ways in which IT is driving business innovation is through the utilization of data. With modern Cloud-based infrastructures and solutions, large amounts of data are produced all the time within organizations. This is unlike traditional, tangible forms of data that were collected manually, but rather data produced by machines that cover minute details most people don’t think to record – and as such, this data requires significant processing and analysis to be made useful. Explore the Data Scientist Course for gaining expertise in this domain.

This is the job of a Data Scientist – they have experience in fields such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive modelling. Their job is to utilize big data to reveal insights that can drive business decisions.

App Developers

Custom applications are huge in business these days, owing to the fact that the platforms and tools for app development are becoming more and more accessible. With that said, the expertise and experience required to develop effective applications in a business context is not easy to develop and therefore is in hot demand. The development of bespoke applications is a popular solution in sectors such as health care, government, and the private sector.

App Developers have general skills and knowledge in computer science and software development, as well as experience in languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Ruby. A dedicated software development team is a group of software development professionals who work exclusively.

DevOps

The demand for managerial positions in the IT sphere is higher than ever. More and more businesses are taking to developing their own software, applications, and code for the platforms they use. This represents a huge shift; where traditionally, a small- to medium-sized business would simply purchase software and apps from a tech company, they now have the tools available to develop it themselves, thus more and more developers are finding work in businesses outside of the tech sector. But for businesses to successfully support development efforts internally, they need DevOps engineers as well as developers.
