Design and Display
The Galaxy S6 is a big improvement on the S5, with the glass and metal design bringing the phone up to the quality we think its price demands.
The phone’s rounded edges also have the strange effect of making the S6 appear considerably fatter in your hand. At just 0.27 inches, it’s just as thin as the iPhone 6, with Gorilla Glass on the front and back and a rim of hardy aluminum sandwiched in between.

The galaxy S6 makes up for its small design issues with its stunning 5.1in Super AMOLED display. With a resolution of 2,560×1,440, the phone has the highest pixel density (577ppi) of any handset, beating the LG G3 , which has the same resolution and a larger 5.5in screen.
As we’ve come to expect from Samsung’s AMOLED displays, colour accuracy and contrast were through the roof.
Camera
You have a 16MP sensor onboard, for instance, only this time it is backed up by Optical Image Stabilisation and a wider aperture which allows for more light and, in the end, better shots regardless of the setting you’re shooting in.
The addition of Live HDR, the quick launch mode, accessed via a double tap of the home button, an improved 5MP front facing camera with an aperture of f/1.9, and Samsung’s already awesome, but now simpler camera application make for a thoroughly satisfying user experience.
Hardware and processor
The Galaxy S6 is also the fastest Android phone I’ve had the pleasure of using( Says somebody), zipping through every task and flying through menus and apps with ease. Within the S6 is an octa-core Exynos 7420 CPU and 3GB RAM, which deftly handled everything I threw at it, whether it was multitasking while downloading large apps or playing graphics-intensive games.
That Exynos 7420, which comprises twin quad-core CPUs (one running at a frequency of 2.1GHz and one at 1.5GHz), will devour everything and anything you can throw at it.
It runs an Operating system of Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop), 7.0 (Nougat), planned upgrade to Android 8.0 (Oreo).
Resistant
The IP68 rating and a military-grade durability certification means that you can throw practically anything at this phone and still have a working device, which has certainly held true in our testing. Despite some falls and numerous plunges in the water

Battery
It banks a 2550mAh non removeable battery, Coupld with the Galaxy S6’s rapid charging abilities –– it’ll go from dead to 70% in 30 minutes –– and you’re looking at one of the best performers in the business. Impressed is an understatement.
Fingerprint scanner
Among the smaller but very nice-to-have elements that Samsung’s packed into the S6 is its fingerprint unlock feature, which has been changed to act more like Apple’s Touch ID this time around. Instead of swiping downward like on the S5, now you just hold your finger atop the front button to unlock the phone.
